Recycle Your Bra

We stumbled across a great non-profit that takes those bras you'll never wear again and puts them to good use. The Bosom Buddy Bra Recycling is a non profit organization that specializes in recycling bras and providing them to women throughout the community who really need them.

Why do we love the Bosom Buddy Bra Recycling program?

  • It's environmentally friendly and can change some one's life for the better
  • It raises community awareness and can join together people of different backgrounds for one unique cause
  • It's for struggling yet deserving women who need a little break
  • It makes us aware of how fortunate we are to have clean bras to wear

So the next time you complain about that new bra and how it doesn't fit right or how you hate the color... before you throw it away think about the Bosom Buddy Recycling Program.

Humor and Bras Celebrate Breast Cancer Survivors

Sometimes a little humor goes a long way. A traveling exhibit called Artfull Bras has taken the hard facts of breast cancer and added a litle humour.

Created by the members of Quilters of South Carolina, a number of bras in the exhibit are covered by just about everything except what a bra should be made out of. The bras feature camouflage, feathers, leaves, Halloween themes and much more. Cute tag lines can be found to give any woman a great laugh including:

  • "Yes, these are fake. My real ones tried to kill me." (Real looking breast in bra format)
  • "Girls Divided" (South Carolina colors)
  • "Boo-bies" (Halloween Theme)
  • "Mother Nature's Bosum" (Decorated using natural elements)
  • "Support your favorite boob." (McCain and Obama decorated)

The exhibit will be touring South Carolin from June to August along with a number of private fundraisers, parties and much more to raise money for breast cancer.
