The young at heart creator of the "Big Giant Bra Ball" has died. I'm sure you've seen a bra ball at some point in your life. Maybe at a museum or at a VDay conference, the balls are just like rubber band bras but bigger and made of bras and underwear.
Ironically, Mr. Nicolino was getting ready to start a new business where he would be creating customized caskets for cremated remains when he passed away on July 7th of cancer, he was 69.
A look back at his life would make anyone smile, it's a reminder that everyone has a special way of living everyday and that's what makes each of us different. Here's a brief overview of his interesting and somewhat unusual life:
- He was born on Dec 21, 1939 in Colorado
- After high school he went to the Navy's submarine division
- He graduated from Berkely with a degree in architecture and worked on boat construction and remodeling
- In the 1990s he through he could strung bras across the Grand Canyon, 14,000 bras later the government crushed his dreams due to safety issues
- In 1994 he created a mile of sand breast along Stinson Beach, all size 34Cs
- He met Emily Duffy and they decided to create a bra ball. The relationship ended badly with both of them claiming to own the idea. The pair parted with lawsuits following closely after
